I am new to rec.kites and this is my first post. What I would like to know are the dates for the Wildwood convention and an approximate schedule. Are the buggies the same weekend? Sorry if this was recently discussed. The AKA Convention is October 12-16. Sport kite competitions are on Wednesday (Intermediate and Experienced) and Friday (Novice, Masters, Open) with the exception of Masters Team Ballet, which will be on Saturday. Kitemaking comprehensive competition is on Thursday. The Rokkaku battle is on Saturday. Of course, workshops and numerous other activities are held each day. Sunday is a rain date and free fly. For more info, check the latest issue of "Kiting" (July/August 1994) on page 13. More details will also be in the upcoming issue. Buggy activities will be on the weekend prior to the convention, Saturday through Monday (Oct. 8-10). Should be a blast! See you there!
