Since I am a novice in kite building, I want to try out some plans I found in TYVEK first. When I eventually found an adress where I can buy this material, there seemed to be several kinds of TYVEK. First there is the TYVEK used for making wind jackets. The material number is L-1443R and weights 43 g/sq meter. This is very souple. Then there is the Graphics Quality TYVEK. This is more like paper. The different sorts of Graphic Quality TYVEK are: L-1025D 42 g/sq meter L-1057D 55 g/sq meter L-1073D 75 g/sq meter and L-1082D 105 g/sq meter Which kind of TYVEK is the best suited for building kites? Has anyone some experience with the different kinds? The only lokal shop selling material for building kites sells something that resembles L-1057D. All help would be greatly apreciated.
