The Spookie, as featured in the _Into The Wind_ catalog is
built by R Kites, ie, Reed Richards, Jr. The same person who
brings you the ZDX line.

It is a 3/4 version of the Spook, whick was developed for light wind
high altitude (1000'+) conditions in Atlanta. Both are *very* radical
and fast. Quiet too for that mater.

What's a really neat combination to fly is a stack with a Spookie
in front of a Spook. Sort of like flying a biplane!

Steve

PS: I own 3 Spooks & 1 Spookie, btw. But don't compete with them. '-)

I don't mean to get off the subject here, but...
Do you mean that the Spook was designed to fly on 1000 + foot lines?
OR
The altitude of Atlanta is over 1000 feet above sea level.

OK, I guess I'm being a little stupid here.
Hmmm... I wonder if its possible to build a kite that could fly in light
winds 6000 feet above sea level, in 95 deg. F. heat, with 10umidity?
Why would any kiteflyer want to live in a place like that?

Kiddering along,

LP>Hey thanks for the info on the Spookie, the need is frugal!
I'm caught between a budget thing! The Spookie Looks Like it
is light, also the ION (I have Macro ,Micron , Total Eclipse)
they fly as advertised! Extremly pleased with the low wind
performance Macro-Ion. Micron is wild! Total Eclipse is as
advertised, smooth and does track like it is on rails-some think it
is not a decent kite-some also don't know how to make a set of line
strait!!!! I can put that baby trough a "Starburst" better than
Whale defecation going through a Ice Flow! Kicks Ass! As
as "beavus" would say. (MTV Cartoon) yeh!yeah! K...A..!

LP>I appreciate your info I'm a semi retiired, injured (52) on job
who ain't into suing people over nothing. So I'm collecting early
social -which ain't a lot -so when i have interest in something-
the fixed budget has to equall the value of the merch!
Specially with the Kites! Ok thanks for the info. !!!
