I was flying in Atlanta, for once the winds were favorable. I was flying a Competition Edge, and my father was flying a Hawaiian. We were doing a little bit of team flying(wich is tough when the two kites go at different speeds). I was making a close pass at the Hawaiian, when there was a gust, the two kites collided. We thought the lines were pretty much the same length, and we were standing about 15 feet apart (upwind/downwind) as to keep this from happening. Well, we watched a large piece of fabric glide downwind, and wondered where it came from. We soon found out: Competion Edge. When the CE hit the H, the left wing, hit the bridal (of the Hawaiian) fast enough to slice through the Webbing, spar, and the Ripstop. When I turned the CE away from the H, it must have hit with the Right tip since there was a puncture and the center spar is broken. Moral: Don't try too risky team maneuvers on days when its gusty. :( Ben "still waiting for parts" Peoples -- Ben Peoples Internet e-mail: bpeoples@netcom.com The StoneHenge Group Information Superhighway?
