I agree to Simo's point of view. Shouldn't we agree to use metric sizes 
only? WHENEVER we refer to sizes.
It's not only the third decimal but also these decimal fractions
such as 1 9/16.

I am going to c/s for length and   for speed.

That way the aliens from space can know how to build my kites.

Either that, you you have to deal with the stupic inches and feet biz.

I am going to c/s for length and   for speed.
