Conventional ripstop maybe the answer, wonder what is the price, say per meter sq, in the USA? (How'bout other materials?) And also what do you call the threads used to sew them, threads? Am thinking of experimenting. I was looking into rip stop for Kite sail material, and it is Mail Order USA, or a choice of red, Navy, light pink locally, all for $15 a Yard. I also Noticed a lot of tightly woven cotton for $2 / $3 a yard. Thinking that it will be easy to cut out and sew, has any one tried to urathane it after sewing to make it wind proof? Also if you happen to be near a big engineering company, pop in and ask for the mylar drawings that they inevitably throw away. I have a captive source, and they come in nice sizes, 36" x 48" sometimes larger! Predecorated in my case with elecrical Schematics.
