Does anyone know the maker/manufacturer of the "Little Sister"?
I think it is made in France; a very nice Carrington / graphite
'radical' type stunt kite. A companion kite from the same line
is called the "little brother", I think.

If anyone could help with the name of a distributer/wholesaler,
it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes Mike, the Little Sister / Big Brother is made in France by Wolfe
Design, I believe.. Julian Wolfe-Patrick.. It is currently being imported
by Moran Precision Aerobatics, and most kite dealers can get one or
several for you..

Ob. Disclaimer:

I am a stunt kite dealer and carry some of the above mentioned
product(s). As such, my opinions may tend to be somewhat subjective.

The "Little Sister" was designed and marketed by Julian Wolfe Patrick from
France. One of the companion models is the "Big Brother" (the first J.W.P kite
to be imported into the U.S.), and there are a couple of other designs to boot,
including the "Big Brother II" and the "Fast Freddie."

While the Sister is offered through some shops and Into the Wind, they can
also be "custom" ordered through any local kite shop. All you have to do is
to contact your local, established kite store, tell them that you'd like to
order one, and have the dealer contact Susan Batdorff. Most dealers will have
her telephone number in New Jersey.

Please be aware, though, that for now Into The Wind is probably your best bet
if your local shop doesn't have any Little Sisters in stock.
Julian - to our knowledge - has become generally unavailable, and we're not
entirely sure about the status of this U.S. distributorship.

Hope this helps,
Bob

PS: If anyone sees Julian, have him call !

It's offered in the 1994 Into the Wind catalog on page 25 for
$360us. The caption reads "Expensive and Worth It!"

It's the "Big Brother".

If you are a retailer you can contact Julian directly.

Thanks, everyone for all of the info. I had requested info on a
source for a friend, Gail and Erv Crosby, who own Four Winds Kite
Shops here in Everett, WA. They were interrested in adding it to
the lines the shop carries. They were amazed at how quickly the
rec.kites people could get answers!! Thanks!

This has been a good demonstration of the efficiency of the net!
No doubt I will now probably be getting more strange questions from
fellow flyers, in this area, who don't have internet access!
