He will talk you ear off if you give him a chance. Often he will have a solution to a problem you never though of before. Here is one of those: Joe uses a piece of peg board and golf tees to make a bridle board He lables one axis A,B,C,..... and the other 1,2,3....... For Example: A B C D E F G 1 . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . 3 . . . . . . . He then places the golf tee in the holes to tie a bridle, for example a stunt kite x would have a main bridle line of A10, A1, G2. In this way you can consistently tie a bridle of the same length, and use the same jig for many kites. Joe has a notebook of hunderds of peg locations to recreate hunderds of bridles.
