Anyone flown any of these? I'm looking at all of them, with my leaning a bit towards the Jabber. Comments? cheers Bruce = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Fri, 14 Apr 1995 06:27:14 -1000 From: kiteyak@aol.com (Kiteyak) Message-Id: <3mm7p2$q1k@newsbf02.news.aol.com> Organization: America Online, Inc. That's not a reflection on the quality of the kite, though-I just fly it a lot. It really depends on what you're looking for: I haven't flown a Jabberwocky or a Little Sister, but the Starwatcher is RADICAL-makes my MEFM fell like a team kite by comparison. Don't buy it unless you like very wild kites and are prepared to put up with twitchy handling. But it will do some amazing tricks-a lot of kite for the money. The Starwatcher can be a tricky kite. Dean Jordan says that in order to fly this kite properly, it has to be broken in. I never flew two of these kites that were broken in the same way. They were all too twitchy for my tastes. The Little Sister is fairly radical and can be blast a to fly in moderate wind. It is certainly capable of all of the tricks. It is pretty expensive though. The folks that own Little Sisters feel that they are worth the price. The Jabberwocky is nice and stable. It's a great light wind kite with enough oversteer to make it fun to fly. It is stable enough though to be used for team flying or for individual precision. Personally, I would choose a Katana or a California Katana (I make both kites so I'm biased.... ;-) -- Marty Sasaki Harvard University Sasaki Kite Fabrications sasaki@noc.harvard.edu Network Services Division 90 Melrose Street 617-496-4320 10 Ware Street Arlington, MA 02174 Cambridge, MA 02138-4002 phone/fax: 617-646-1925 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
