First time I tried one, I went straight from "competent flier but never been able to do groundwork before" (just like you) straight into doing things that I thought I'd never be able to do (leading edge launches, belly launches, sustained tip-stands), within the space of a few minutes. This isn't to say that it's the kite for you, but it worked well for me, so *borrow* one and check it out. Andrew -- The Kite Traction Group.
