Subject: cost of festival kites We, at the Kite Club of Scotland (KCoS) are considering buying a large kite, such as a big(ish) Octopus, Centipede, Legs, ... that kind of thing. So, how much would it cost (are you there Andrew?). We are now doing so many shows through the year that we reckon that a big fun kite will pay for itself in reasonable time (a year or two). We'd like something that is striking, a good flier, not too costly (maybe about 500 quid's worth). What do you think we could get? It must be fun, not just big, but fun. The big ones go for about the price of a decent second hand car. 500 would only buy you an old banger :-) For prices, ring NZ: + 64 3 308 4538 Alternatively, 500 would buy enough fabric for you to *make* something.
