Propulsion on sand AARON WRITES: >Is there any way I can get plans for building a buggy? Also is >it worth it to build a buggy rather than buying one? First of all forget about the sand-skiing. Once you have tasted the thrill of buggiing you would not want to go back to such primitive forms of propulsion. ( You need to actually WALK back to were you started from !!! No serious Power-kiter wants to be seen by his peers while WALKING back) As far as constructing your own buggy; It depends entirely on what equipment and skills you have. Next to that it would be important to find out if the required materials are available in your area and how the price would compare to a new or perhaps used buggy. It seems that if you can find some friends to join in a buggy building project it is usually worth it. Share the tools, by materials more economically etc. If it is a single buggy, think twice about it. Apart from Stuntkites II there is also a buggy plan available from the German magazine "Sport and Design kites" , but I seriously doubt the quality. However it is based on a system of standard joints, so no welding or brazing required. MAZZEL NOP = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
