(1-800-827-6364) Subject: Re: Berkeley Kite Festival - pt.2 I have been seeing a lot of posts lately regarding the date of the the fly, July 30th & 31st for those of you who still haven't quite read enough about it. For another quick note, parking is going to be a little tight, I suggest getting to the event a little early otherwise you may end up doing some walking with a lot of kite equipment. My partner & I have been doing our practice at the Marina and yes the winds are definitly NOT light ! get ready for 12-15 mph at around 10: AM. ( It's a shame that we have a slight advantage against the other flyers at this event ( NOT ! ). Just a bit of bad humor on My part. All of the buggiers coming this year, you will not be dissapointed at all the winds are realitivly ( spelling) due west and not to bumpy, bring your quad 30's and blast off ! For those of you who are flying M.I.B. there's a very good chance of going into heats, I spoke to Tom McAlister just the other day and he has 15 as of 07-16. The question is " Who Are They ? " . I think with the fact of the Event being the All American this year we shall find a great amount of talented flyers & good strong competition !! I hope that everyone has enough time to check out the Single Line event as well this year. I cannot imagine not seeing something new from Lee & Joanne - Ron Gibian or any of the other talented single line artists who's pieces fill the sky so beautifully. Be carefully of this years teams on the circuit, there hot & on the move both the Pairs & Full teams. This could turn out to be the Event of the Year, So look out - Team work and skills are on the move !! Remember, July 30th & 31st DON'T MISS IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [info about kite festival deleted] Also kids' kitemaking from 11-1 both days, with expert J.R. Tolman in charge. And a candy drop, probably sometime after kitemaking.
