Subject: Yakima Valley Kite and Flight Fest, June 10&11

The Yakima Valley Kitefliers will be presenting the 6th annual Kite
and Flight Festival at Fullbright Park in Union Gap (just south of
Yakima) , WA on Saturday and Sunday, June 10 & 11. This event
includes a full schedule of kiting events and demos, as well as
a championship level Frisbee contest, food and craft vendors,
live music, and an all-around good time. Saturday evening, the
club provides burgers for a kiters barbeque (bring chips or
other side dishes) at no cost to the fliers.
The fields are large, although the winds can range from swirling
to nonexistent. (depends on the direction, the park has hills on two
sides.) The folks are friendly, and the local community gets
behind the event, providing sponsorship that allows for
cash prizes!

P.S. There will be a fighter kite competition this year (on Sunday)
so come prepared to battle.
