The question I have is this. Over the summer, while in Kitty Hawk, NC, I was someone 'Skyting' He was using I believe 3 Hyper-12 Flexifoils... I saw him and talk to him for a while, he said it was great fun, but very dangerous, and indeed, it looked it. What I was wondering, I own 2 Super-10's and plan on getting 2 more, would that be enough lift or would I have to go with more power? Thanx..... This crops up here from time to time, but you won't see much support for it. Kite jumping (or Skyting if you must) has a diabolical safety record. Use your power kites for buggying, kite sailing, kite skiing (snow skis, ice skis, water skis, grass skis). Try roller blades, wheels of doom, ice buggies, check out body surfing and just plain skidding across the ground, but forget the jumping. If you want to go hang-gliding, use a hang glider! It is only a matter of time before you get hurt!! I don't think i've ever met a kite jumper who has done it for very long, it's allways, "I use't do that alot!" So when you see the shirt 'Kite jumping is for Moron's" believe it. my 2 cents dean jordan aoxomoxoa = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Wed, 28 Sep 1994 03:44:27 -1000 From: mallen@etds.ml.com ( Mike Allen ) Message-Id: Organization: ml.com Subject: Re: Skyting Dart, if "skyting" is what I believe you are referring to, that is "defying gravity" and actually becoming airborne, make sure that your major medical, will, etc... are fully paid up and up to date !!!!!! (Also have someone with you to call the appropriate emergency services :-) ). You can hurt/kill yourself BIG TIME doing those types of pranks. BTW..4 super tens with the right wind will provide ample forward pull/lift for "true levitation" .. Good luck and STAY HEALTHY...
