Sasaki for spreading the word via Kiting mag. I am a part time Flyer-Rep for Skynasaur, seeking anyone else that is involved in the program. I would like to exchange E-Mail with ya'. I give lessons and demo's on the beaches and flying fields of western Washington State. I fly the "Signature" series by Mike Simmons, as well as the Razorwings. It is fun to turn around to those gaping spectators, and ask em' if they would like a free le sson. The program is new, but has been well received by the dealers and the people I have met on the beach. I would also like to hear from anyone with an interest in the TRACER, TRIXTER and TRACKER. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Wed, 2 Mar 1994 23:29:15 -1000 From: andrew@tug.com (Andrew Beattie) Message-Id: Organization: /usr/lib/news/organisation Subject: Re: Skynasaur Flyer Reps Steve Irby writes: >I am new on the Internet, [...] Welcome. >I am a part time Flyer-Rep for Skynasaur, seeking anyone else that is involved >in the program. I would like to exchange E-Mail with ya'. This is the first that I've heard of the program. Could you tell us about it? Hmm... At various times, I've been a flier-rep for Lynn, Flexifoil, High Fliers, Quad, Force 10, Revolution, Stafford Wallace Martin Lester, Share the Wind [I just *love* the "Second Wind" single-liner- ultralight-stunt-kite, phone +1 904 257 5271] and others, but do I get paid a penny for it? Like hell I do! >It is fun to turn around to those gaping spectators, and ask em' >if they would like a free lesson. Yes. *this* is one of the best parts of kite flying. C'mon stranger, don't be shy, come and try my custom built, ultralight, Spectra bridled 10m Peel. A "WANTED" poster of sorts. I responded and was signed to rep the Skynasaur line in Washington and Oregon. They provide the kites and accessories, and I demo and give lessons to non flyers a nd novices. I am paid when a customer returns a card I hand them, which is good for a lineset for free at the local kite shop that is participating in the program. It isn't much, but it pays for some of the gas. I trophied at the AKA nationals last fall flying my demo Tracer, so I am hooked on the program. :) Truly, I am alot free-er handing the lines to a newbe flyer when the sail they rip belongs to the sponser, and not me. But that has only happened once. I have taught dozens of people to fly a stu nter, that never would have had the experience. The most memorable was the senior citizens, and forign exchange students that were truly thrilled at discovering a new ee like this. The local kite shops like the program too. To have an experienced flyer on the field flying "right now" that they can send a new kite owner out to see for any assistance they might need, has been welcomed. People I send to the kite shops for more info. m y not buy a Skynasaur, but thats ok. They will get a positive impression of kite flying hopefully. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
