Cobra has been advertising them for a while as having been designed by Ray Merry of Flexfoil fame. I'd be interested to hear from any buggiers or skiiers who have tried them. The diagram in the ad looks a lot like a Quadrifoil. As the Sky Tigers are made here in Canada, they should be a little easier and cheaper to obtain than the imported varieties. The question is, are they as good? Solid pull, no collapse(internal vents), fast thru the air, smooth turns(w/ help of flaps). Sold on them as of now. Have 7m peel, Quadrifoil 25, stack o' flexis, plus the Tigers(26 & 40). Easiest to fly of the bunch. Good construction yadda, yadda, yadda. Stop prattling. The best way to pick a buggy kite is to fly whatever it is and compare to others at the same time and conditions. It turns well and provides good traction for a buggy. I weigh 210 lbs and buggy on the beach at Westport Wa. and use the 26 from about 12 mph up to about 17 mph. I also have a Force 10 6.6 meter I use from about 6.5 mph to 10 mph. I also have a Quad Trac Pro 4 I use from 9 to 14 mph. I use a Quadrifoil 25 >From 14 mph up to about 22 mph. Above 22 mph I use a small Quadrifoil Junior. The Skytiger is as good as any of these kites and better than most of them. I like the closed gauze covered leading edge as I think it is more aerodynamically efficient and I like the flap system of braking and turning the kite, it is also more efficient. In turns the flap provides the turning force while the relatively undistorted canopy still provides max traction. I notice on some quads that the distorted canopy used to turn the kite results in some hesitation or loss of traction in the middle of a turn. I am thinking about getting a Skytiger 18 to replace the Quadrifoil 25 that is getting old. I have also flown the Skytiger 40 and I like it also.
