The only modification the scorpion will need is a simple one.
For light wind flying <1-4 MPH> Cut the upper spreader an 
inch and three quarters . (About 4.5 cm) This will generate 
more lift and you will find light wind flying will be much better.
As for the other modifications, DON"T. It will not be a Scorpion any 
more. If you want a kite with a deep sail, buy a Tracer-Ultra-Airmaster
kind of kite.    Have fun with your new Scorpion and feel free to ask
me any more questions.

Sorry, John....*REAL* kites have as many lines as they want, such as:
