I've asked around in rollerskateshops but i havn't been able to find anyone. Does anybody know how to get them, or how to built them. They are apparently available commercially in Europe (according to Buggy Newz). I based mine largely on the Bob Childs article in the Kite magazine. I used fat tires instead of the scooter tires though. I like them better on the sand. The scooter wheels are better on dry lakes. My wheels are hand-truck tires on plastic wheels (Available from Norther Hydraulics -- 1 800 533-5545 -- Part number: 2522). They work quite well, but are heavy, so you need good skiing muscles. Also, the more skiing (water and snow) skill, roller-blading skill, and buggying skills you have, the better you will do. Feel free to ask questions here about the skates. Also, Dave Lord's home page has some close-up photos of my skates.
