I have the basic ideas down, like the vertical stabilizers in both front and rear and the basic airfoil for the wing profile. Before I start constructing the thing I thought I might ask for some ideas for materials, glues, coverings and any other ideas people might have. I haven't been in the mainstream of kiting for over a decade and some of the modern materials have eluded me as well as some of the folks who have lately been active in single line kiting. Random thought: I maintain that this type of technology could prove useful for breaking buggy speed records for 2 reasons: 1) You can give it a high quality shape - smooth surface, sharp trailing edge, leading edge just how you want it - for low drag 2) The tail means that you can bridle much further forward without the nose tipping under. It would be a dog round a course, it would be heavy and difficult to keep going, but the low drag would let you go faster before ending up going sideways. >Is Bill Bigge still around? There is a William R Bigge of MD listed in the AKA directory. You owe the Kite Oracle a list of all kite fliers Andrew -- Please note: I have been suffering from mail/news delay. Netiquette-of-the-day: Take care to attribute quotes correctly. You can FTP the kite FAQ's from ftp.hawaii.edu (directory /pub/rec/kites/faq) The FAQ's have lists of kites, kite stores, kite questions, kite books & plans. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
