Since I am new to this game are there any power kites out there that are CONSIDERABLY cheaper than the Quadrifoil (275 pounds Sterling ~= 600 Us Dollars) that offer similar performance. I am quite keen on a soft kite with no skeleton but am open to suggestions as long as it's a _POWER_ kite. 2: If it is not possible to get a cheaper kite (as in 1), how difficult is it to make one from scratch. As I said I'm a bit of a newbie to kites but surely the materials could not be that expensive. Does anyone know of anywhere I can ftp a design of one - or alternatively point me in the direction of an appropriate book. Is it possible to get DIY kit kites ? - are they much cheaper and are they worth the effort - for that matter how much effort are they. If so does anyone have any addresses for these (pref in the UK). Thanks in advance, Declan PS PLEASE email cc: me if you post --- things expire mighty quickly my news server. PPS on reflection that seems more like 20 questions than 2! --- Declan Higgins - dhiggins@bfsec.bt.co.uk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Mihi crede, hoc mihi magis quam tibi nocet" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
