Yes. In the places where the 1.5 and 2 mm rods come in, there is a piece of Dacron over and under the sail. It looks like this: / / DDDDDDDDD ssssssssssssssssssssss sssssssssssssssssss DDDDDDDDD / / ssss = sail DDDD = dacron / = stitch So the pieces of sail just touch. NOTE: If you use double-sided tape to put the pieces together before sewing, things become VERY sticky when you insert the rods (I made the mistake myself!!). Still, this gets better with time. The other straight seams should have an extra 5-7 mm for seam allowance.
