Please keep in mind that this is a gathering designed for members of the industry (retailers and manufacturers). Like most trade shows, it is NOT open to the public. Usually, however, they do hold an open demo field and fly. I haven't heard much about this for the California show. In the past, people not members of the KTA or registered for the Convention have been turned away at the door, so don't be surprised ... Sorry. The show is opened to the trade - (they require some proof of trade status - business license, etc...) You do not have to be a member of the KTA to attend (you save $100 bucks that way) and they do accept walk ins (non registered people if you can prove that you are a trade person). I do not know if the will open the show to the public on the last day (that has happened at the Las Vegas and Dallas shows). The show is rather small by most "trade show" standards but it is worthwhile if you are involved in the kite trade. Hoy = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
