No, that wasn't the problem...the damn virtually ZERO wind was the reason why the kit wouldn't fly unless I pulled backward! It looks like the knot system I was using will work after all according to some private e-mail I received but I'll be sure to give your method a try if (ever) the wind actually picks up!
