Berkeley is OK, I've had fun (and pain, but that's another story) there. It generally has a decent breeze, but it's got a hill in the middle (upwind is crampt, downwind of a hill never has clean wind)... this makes me think... Where *is* kite heaven? I'd be looking for: Clean wind Vast expanse of flat mown grass surface No trees No power lines No dogs No metal spikes No altitude limit Pleasant Bar Sunshine (from the same direction as the wind) Comfortable temperature Beautiful scenery Convenient location Well stocked kite store with helpful proprietor Adjacent expanse of water for kite boats Sufficient room for single lines, multi-lines, fighters and traction Internet connection Cheap, comfortable accommodation with vast Atrium Lots of friends to share it with Did I miss anything (What should the wind speed be?) Where is it? (where comes close?)
