The Force 10 w/ graphite frame can be flown in winds of < 4 mph with a little experience, however it really doesn't wake up till around 8-10 mph.. As far as using it for a traction source, it all depends on how much weight it has to overcome.. I weigh around 235 and in winds above 12-15 it will drag me down the park pretty nicely.. Ob. To quote Steve Shapson (his capitals): Oh, by the way, I NO LONGER PRODUCE THE RIGID FORCE 10 DELTA WING KITE. It is gone, possibly forever. Thank GOD. He is now making soft, high performance quads. They are rather good by all accounts. They kinda destroyed all comers at Wildwood.
