This festival is designed to be our dress rehersal for a major Southwest event to be held here in Tucson in March 1996. The current Festival will include: Candy Drops for the Kids Prettiest Kite/ Peoples Choice Best Line Laundry Kids' Kite Workshop followed by 100 yard dash Fighter Kite Competition (Best of 3 round-robin) Novice and Intermediate Precision (no free style) Open Class Magical Mystery Ballet (Randomly chosen music) Rok battle (3 heats) Stunt Kite Demonstrations (all day) Full media coverage is already assured. Since this is a rehersal, standard AKA points will not be awarded for the stunt kite competitions, but very cool "treasures" will be awarded to all first place winners. We are working very hard to bring a bonified competition to the Arizona area. Our club is strong and is growing quickly. Our goal is to develop a top ranked yearly festival, and based on my experiences with the Texas Skyriders and festivals in Texas, we are well on our way. Hope to see you there, and stay tuned for information about the March event. Tight Lines, Dean C. Hines Board of Directors Coyote Kite Club 4951 E. Grant Rd. Tucson, AZ 85712 PS - It has been a long time since most of you heard from me... I've been really busy, but now that things have settled down, you'll definitely be hearing me more often. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Mon, 6 Nov 1995 10:30:40 -1000 From: dhines@james.as.arizona.edu (Dean Hines) Message-Id: <47lr9g$gaq@news.ccit.arizona.edu> Organization: University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ Subject: Coyote Kite Club Festival - Tucson AZ Nov. 12, 1995 Hey Folks: The Coyote Kite Club of Tucson AZ will sponsor a kite festival this Sunday, November 12, 1995 from 10:00am till 5:00pm.
