The draw back to such a design is in its gust sensitivity. If you are flying where wind gusts predominate the kite can very easily overpower you. On the beach where I buggy the winds are usually on shore and the magnitude of the gusts are small. When the wind is off shore they can be large and I prefer a lower aspect design in the light wind range. If the winds are moderate then a high aspect design in a smaller size kite works fine since the kite has less tendency to overpower the pilot. The Skytiger Hi 60 allows me to buggy down to a wind speed of around 5 mph. A larger area kite with as high an aspect ratio or higher would exhibit even greater gust sensitivity and in my opinion would find little use except for those times when the wind speed was maybe 6 or 7 mph and below with very little gusts. I think the trend should be to increase the aspect ratio as the area gets smaller, this would result in higher speeds with out the tendency to overpower the pilot. On the Hi 60 the gusts just make you slide sideways in some direction you usually don't want to go. The larger the kite the smaller the wind range in which it is useful. I would like to see Skytiger change their 26 and 18 to Hi aspect designs, they would be ideal for the desert and hi speeds.
